Torun

commemorating all British, Commonwealth, and Allied prisoners
held in Stalag XXA at Torun in occupied Poland
1940 - 1945

in gratitude to the Polish people
for the many kindnesses shown to British soldiers
working on the farms to the north-west of Bydgoszcz

remembering all POWs who did not survive the Great March
in the winter of 1945
and especially those who have no known grave
